If Your Upline Quits, What Should You Do?

Upline quittingLet’s face it. A lot of times when you join a network marketing company, there comes a time when your upline quits. Heck, there are even lots of times that you get no response from your upline when you’re newly recruited.

Should you take this as a sign that you’re in the wrong place? Should YOU quit? And if not, how are you going to get the help you need to succeed?

The first thing you need to do is determine whether your upline’s decision should affect your decision to participate in the company. If you’re in touch with your upline, try to find out why he or she left. Did he or she lose faith in your current company … or just wanted to strike out in another direction?

If your upline’s departure reflects a problem in the current company’s vision or operations, you might want to consider leaving as well. But if it only reflects a problem in your upline’s vision or operations, stick with your company. You joined because you thought you could be a success in this company … and nothing has changed that.

You are responsible for your own success. If you need guidance and your upline is not available, find your guidance elsewhere.

In most companies, there are people who are successful. (If there aren’t any in your company, why did you join them?) Find out who these successful people are and what they’re doing to succeed. Don’t just look at what they might be teaching, but look at what they are doing. And then do the same thing! Follow in their footsteps to success.
